FSU May Not Be That Active In Transfer Portal

Some FSU player's names could enter the transfer portal even though the deadline passed at the end of April. Sometimes, it takes 24-48 hours for compliance to process the paperwork so the player can officially enter the transfer portal. I thought we'd see 7-10 players enter the transfer portal between when the Seminole Showcased ended and the end of the month. FSU had three scholarship players enter the transfer portal this spring: Joshua Burrell, Greedy Vance, and Vandrevius Jacobs. The Noles continue to be above the 85 scholarship limit and will need more players to enter the portal before adding others.

I think we'll see some guys enter, but it may not be the amount we thought, and that could be for several reasons. The coaching staff might feel better about what they have on the roster than we think. The coaching staff may not think the current crop of players in the portal is substantially better than who they have on the roster. The players may understand there is no guarantee they will find a better situation if they leave FSU and enter the transfer portal. That's the beauty of nailing the transfer portal window before spring camp.
