FSU football: 3 major things defense can't afford against Boston College

Eye Discipline/Playing Assignments
I can't tell you the amount of times FSU players tried to play hero ball(not play their assignment) and it cost them against Georgia Tech. Ironically, it was an issue we saw early on in the 2023 season. Here's a clip against Boston College last season:
It's all about the little things in key situations. It's third and 10, with Boston College nearly on their goal line. If FSU can force a punt, they'll give the ball to the offense with great field position. Instead, DJ Lundy (No. 10) doesn't play his assignment, and Thomas Castallenos scampers for a first down to move the chains. Notice how Renardo Green follows the receiver across the field on a little drag route, and DJ Lundy leaves his area to join Green in defending the receiver? That's where Castellanos runs for the first down, and had Lundy stayed, it would have been an easy tackle, and they would have punted.
