FSU is all in on Mike Norvell
FSU Athletic Director Michael Alford and Mike Norvell have a great relationship, and Alford understands the importance of football. Alford provided funds to hire additional support staff nearly immediately after getting the job in January 2022. Norvell has gotten six amendments to his original contract, including a major raise at the end of the 2022 season.

He made 7.8 million dollars per season, and that contract extended through 2029. Norvell was among the top 15 highest paid coaches in college football. However, this new contract moves him firmly inside the top 10. I think this is a marriage where FSU believes Mike Norvell win at FSU for a long time, and Mike Norvell believes the same.
