Parting Thoughts

The biggest issue on offense is teams don't respect the FSU passing game and load up to stop the run. FSU receivers struggle to beat man coverage, and DJ Uiagalelei struggles with accuracy and touch. Defensively, FSU's defensive front can't consistently stop the run. The FSU linebackers struggle with any misdirection. They struggle in coverage, and they struggle to fill the right gaps in the run game. The FSU secondary is playing soft overall. They struggle to get off blocks and the safeties can't tackle worth two cents.

FSU is soft on defense, and opposing offenses consistently push the pile forward for extra yards. It's NOT a talent issue at FSU. It's a mentality issue. It's a not trusting your teammate issue and has nothing to do with taking players from the portal. FSU has inserted transfer portal players with ease in the past few years. For whatever reason, these players haven't bought into what's asked of them. Ultimately, that falls on Mike Norvell and the coaching staff.
