Will FSU need to add another defensive tackle after spring?

The duo of Farmer and Jackson could arguably be the best in the ACC. Grady Little was a freshman All-American at Colorado State, who will likely replace Malcolm Ray in the lineup as a reserve. Daniel Lyons saw some reps last year, while KJ Sampson redshirted in his freshman year. The Noles signed two high school defensive tackles in the 2024 recruiting cycle, but neither will likely contribute this season. FSU will likely lose Farmer and Jackson after the 2024 season, which leaves the defensive tackle room lacking needed depth.

Right now, they have a rotation of 4-5 guys, but injuries could occur, which would expose some depth issues. Not only could they have depth issues this year, but they'll have them next year unless some guys take massive leaps. How Grady Little, Lyons, and Sampson look this spring will likely determine if they take another guy at defensive tackle from the portal.
