Can Kameron Davis Become a Factor?

The running back position is where freshmen can get on the field and become contributors quicker than most. Former five stars like Dalvin Cook and Cam Akers come to mind in recent memory. Kam Davis was a five-star recruit for most of his recruitment and was recognized as one of the top running backs in the 2024 class. One of the most impressive things about Davis is his physical maturity because he probably could have gotten snaps as a high school senior last year if he were on the team.

There are other talented backs with more experience, but I wonder how quickly the coaching staff will look to integrate him into the offense. They took it slower with Singleton last year, and Rodney Hill before him. However, neither guy was as highly-ranked as Davis coming into the program, nor as physically mature. Davis's early enrollment this spring was important, as it provides an opportunity to learn the offense quicker and acclimate to college overall. If he learns the offense quickly, he could challenge for snaps this fall.
