Release FSU If Losing Them Wouldn't Hurt The ACC

I know folks will say they signed the contracts and should honor them, but if the ACC is so much bigger than FSU? Drop the lawsuit and let FSU walk from the ACC and see what happens. Ah, but we know the ACC doesn't want that to happen. Why? Because of the two things I've already mentioned. The ACC would lose its biggest TV draw and one of two teams that carries the weight nationally when it comes to realistically playing for championships.

The ACC knows if FSU leaves, all of the other teams who can find a landing spot will want to follow to more stable grounds. It's why Clemson has filed their lawsuit. They don't want to remain in an ACC that doesn't have FSU. So, no, FSU is bigger than the ACC. If all things were equal, FSU could go to any conference and continue to be among the top programs nationally. FSU doesn't need the ACC to be relevant, but we know what the ACC will look like without FSU. It'll become a G5 conference full of teams nobody cares to watch.
