FSU Is One of Two Schools Who Can Compete At An Elite Level

The ACC has had three teams finish in the AP top 10 in the past decade:

2014: FSU, Georgia Tech
2015: Clemson
2016: Clemson, FSU
2017: Clemson
2018: Clemson
2019: Clemson
2020: Clemson
2021: Clemson finished the highest ranked ACC team at No. 14
2022: FSU finished the highest ranked ACC team at No. 11
2023: FSU

Georgia Tech had three losses in 2014 and was never in serious consideration to play for a National Title. The other two teams are Clemson and FSU, and this stretch encompasses the worst stretch for FSU in our lifetimes, FSU still appears three times, finishing inside the top 15 five times since 2014. FSU and Clemson are the only two ACC teams that can realistically compete for a National Title. If FSU leaves, it will render Clemson helpless and dramatically decrease their strength of schedule. Clemson could go undefeated in an ACC without FSU, and nobody would respect it. FSU just went undefeated in the ACC, and nobody respected it because Clemson wasn't great in 2023. However, I firmly believe FSU would have made the College Football Playoff if Jordan Travis had not gotten injured.
