FSU football: 2024 Game-by-game predictions and win shares

Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland on August 24th
FSU and Georgia Tech will head across the pond a few days early to attempt to deal with the time difference. FSU is an -11.5 betting favorite. They have better talent and depth in the trenches. Georgia Tech finished the 2023 season at No. 50 overall via FEI. They had the No. 31 offense and No. 77 defense. They return their starting quarterback(who's a dual-threat guy) and a solid running back. The key for FSU will be stopping Tech's run game on offense, which will likely involve their quarterback running quite a bit.
Georgia Tech struggled to do much offensively against good defenses last year. They only totaled 254 yards against Clemson last year, and nearly half of that came on their final two drives while they trailed 42-7. It could be a sloppy game early, but FSU eventually shuts that offense down and gradually wears their defense down with a power run game. FSU takes this game 35-20 with an 80 percent chance to win the game.
