FSU football: 16 players who could be selected in 2025 NFL Draft
By Kelvin Hunt
Azareye’h Thomas
Oh, wait, another player the staff developed from high school recruiting? Junior, Azareye’h Thomas has first-round NFL Draft potential. He is a freshman who got on the field early and recorded 14 tackles and two for a loss in 11 games. Thomas saw his playing time increase in 2023, appearing in all 14 games with one start. He recorded 29 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, one forced fumble, one recovery, and 10 pass breakups(4th in the ACC).
Thomas is listed as 6'2" and 194 pounds, with prototypical NFL size for a cornerback. He has outstanding length, and instincts and is one of the most competitive spirits on the team. Similar to Fentrell Cypress, a second season with Pat Surtain coaching, and I expect Thomas to be one of the best defensive backs in the ACC, if not nationally. He has all the tools and will be a starter in 2024.
