FSU football: 16 players who could be selected in 2025 NFL Draft
By Kelvin Hunt
Darrell Jackson Jr.
Redshirt junior Darrell Jackson Jr. is someone I expected to be drafted this year, but the NCAA is full of clowns and forced him to sit out the entire 2023 for no reason. Jackson appeared in the Orange Bowl, but FSU fans don't count that exhibition game. Nevertheless, Jackson will be eligible to play in 2024 and will make an immediate impact on the interior. As I mentioned, he'll team up with former high school teammate Joshua Farmer. Jackson is listed at 6'5" and 330 pounds but moves like he's 300 pounds.
He's nearly unblockable when fully motivated, and I don't think he'll need any more motivation than sitting out last year and knowing this is his money year to get drafted in 2025. Jackson has appeared in 25 collegiate games with 13 starts and recorded 49 tackles, including 4.5 for loss with 3.0 sacks. He practiced with the team all last season and was coached by one of the best defensive tackle coaches in Odell Haggins. I expect Jackson to make a major leap in 2024 and be one of the top guys drafted in 2025.
