Shyheim Brown
The rival fans who love to paint false narratives about high school talent not getting developed by Mike Norvell's staff are about to have that narrative shut down completely. Redshirt junior Shyheim Brown is a former three-star recruit who got recommended to the coaching staff by a former Nole who coached him in high school. The staff evaluated this tape and offered, and the rest is history. Brown began his career on special teams, appearing in all 13 games in 2022, with two starts.
He was named honorable mention Freshman All-American by College Football News. Herecorded 36 tackles, including 2.5 for loss with 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. However, his 2023 season saw Brown start all 14 games, recording 53 tackles, two sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, two QB hurries, and an All-ACC Third Team selection. Brown lists at 6'2" and 213 pounds. He's poised to have a breakout season in 2024 and is one of the most experienced players in the secondary. If he has the year we project, he'll hear his name called in 2025.
