Richie Leonard IV
Senior interior offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV arrived in Tallahassee after several years with the rival Florida Gators. I suppose he lived by the mantra if you can't beat'em, join'em. However, we're happy to have him on the offensive line with all the experience he'll add to the interior. Leonard played in 31 games with 14 starts at Florida. He has a ton of experience in SEC play and will be a plug-and-play guy for Alex Atkins. Leonard is listed at 6'2" and 320 pounds, which is perfect for an offensive guard.
NFL teams look for solid offensive linemen who can develop and contribute at the next level. Leonard has experience and should show well on Alex Atkin's offensive line. Mike Norvell loves to establish the run game, using concepts like the counter to punish opposing defenses. FSU will probably look to run a bit more in 2024 than compared to last season. Leonard will have ample opportunities to show what he can do to catch a team's eye at the next level.
