Malik Benson

The FSU wide receiver room lost Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman, who will likely get drafted no later than the third round of the upcoming NFL Draft. FSU has a ton of talented bodies in the room, and one of the most intriguing options is Alabama transfer Malik Benson. Benson adds an elite speed option the Noles have not had in quite some time. Benson's speed paired with DJ Uiagalelei's arm has the potential to be an elite combination that unlocks another dimensional of Mike Norvell's offense.

It can affect the offense even when Benson isn't targeted by opening up the middle of the field due to the threat of the vertical attack. It's an area opposing defenses didn't have to worry about too much last year. Benson doesn't bring a ton of proven production from Alabama, but the coaching staff has unlocked production from similar guys in the past. I'll be looking to see how Benson gets in and out of his routes. Does he catch contested passes? Does it look like he can be a No. 1 receiver?
