Which Receivers Step Up?

This unit is probably the biggest question mark going into fall camp. Mike Norvell said it's not a matter of talent but which players will show up consistently in the moments to make plays. FSU has guys with experience. Ja'Khi Douglas, Kentron Poitier, Darion Williamson, and Deuce Spann have been in the system for multiple years. Sophomore Hykeem Williams looked promising before an injury derailed his year. Alabama transfer Malik Benson looks to be the closest thing to an NFL-ready wide receiver and showed flashes in the spring before getting hurt in the FSU Showcase.

LSU transfer Jalen Brown has a year of college experience. Indiana transfer Jaylin Lucas is a player who can do damage in the passing game and when he gets in space. FSU has some talented freshmen who enrolled in the spring, and Elijah Moore, who arrived this summer. Kentron Poitier looked like he would be a guy to do that before last season, but an injury forced him to miss nearly the entire year. Ja'Khi Douglas had an impact last year although he missed half of the year with an injury. They have size and speed all over the field, it's just a matter of who's going to seize the moment.
