Who Steps Up At TE Besides Kyle Morlock?

The tight end position is nearly identical to how it was going into the 2022 season. Cam McDonald was the leading returning tight end with 24 receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns in 2021. Kyle Morlock returns as the most experienced guy going into 2024, and he had 19 receptions for 255 yards last season. Jackson West has yet to record a reception in his FSU career but looks poised to get reps this season.

Other than Jackson, it's Brian Courtney and Jerrale Powers(who missed all of spring with an injury) and two freshmen, Landen Thomas and Amaree Williams. Thomas enrolled in the spring, which gives him a shorter learning curve than most. Courtney has great athleticism and has gotten on the field a few times. I don't know what to expect with Powers, and he may have gotten passed up already. The biggest concern is health if Morlock goes down. That would change things drastically for this unit.
