Communication

FSU will have new players at some positions that will rely heavily on communication to execute on offense and defense. It'll be the first time since 2021 that Jordan Travis isn't leading the way at quarterback. FSU will have DJ Luny returning at linebacker, but whoever starts opposite of him will not have the experience of playing with him for a whole year like Tatum Bethune. Also, FSU will have a new person at one of the safety positions. I don't have many concerns about DJ Uiagalelei's ability to communicate. He's a proven veteran that's had success with two different teams.

However, he'll have new faces at wide receiver and tight end. They'll need to make sure they're all on the same page and running the right routes at the right depth. Lundy will be fine, but whoever else is out there will need to execute their assignments, avoid playing hero ball, and communicate with the rest of the defense. The safety position will have Shyheim Brown returning, but we saw what the opposite side looked like when Akeem Dent was out last year. Whoever is opposite of Brown will need to communicate effectively so they avoid busted coverages or poor angles defending the run. Here's where the change in rules where coaches will have players they can talk to in-between plays (via helmet headset) could be a game-changer.
