BUCK SAFETIES

1. Davonte Brown

-OR- Conrad Hussey

2. Omarion Cooper

Analysis: Florida State's coaching staff is excited about what veteran Shyheim Brown can bring to the table in 2024 for this defense. It won't be easy as the Seminoles have to replace the likes of Akeem Dent, who was the quarterback of the defense last year.

At the safety position opposite Brown, it is a toss-up. The Seminoles brought in Miami cornerback transfer Davonte Brown and switched him over to safety. The senior has been solid throughout camp and has pushed rising sophomore Conrad Hussey for playing time. I think they both split snaps during the season.

As for Cooper, they added him back to the Seminoles' roster after a one-year stint in Colorado. The secondary is excited to see him back since he is used to the defensive scheme and what he is being asked to do.
