FSU football has recently done a tremendous job with recruiting the offensive line position group under the guidance of offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins.

The Seminoles' offensive line has vastly improved since Atkins arrived in Tallahassee with head football coach Mike Norvell. The unit was considered one of the worst groups in college football in the past.

Atkins acquired four prospects in the 2024 recruiting class with four-star Jonathan Daniels, four-star Manasse Itete, three-star Tye Hylton, and three-star Jayden Todd. With that being said, he is already off to a hot start in the 2025 cycle where five-star Solomon Thomas is committed to the fold.

On Friday, Class of 2025 four-star offensive lineman Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins (GA) included Florida State in his top seven finalists where he will be making his commitment on February 18th at 4 PM. The talented prospect has LSU, Florida, Michigan, Miami, Penn State, and Tennessee along with Florida State in the finalists' list.

Joseph is considered the fifth-best interior offensive lineman in the 2025 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Atkins has other options to monitor on the offensive line as well such as four-star Ziyare Addison, four-star Max Buchanan, and three-star Mario Nash Jr. The ultimate goal would be to likely obtain at least three prospects (I believe it should be closer to 4-5) in this cycle since current players such as Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, and Keiondre Jones will be graduating after the 2024 season.

The recruiting prowess of Atkins has been nice to see continue during his time in Tallahassee. As most fans know by now, he will be suspended for the first three games of the 2024 season due to recruiting infractions. However, he has still showcasing his ability to build relationships with a variety of highly-touted prospects.
