Florida State football is ranked as the 20th-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Seminoles have plenty of work to do in their class as they have only secured four prospects with five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

Florida State has not acquired a running back prospect in this cycle yet. However, running backs coach David Johnson made his presence felt when he signed four-star Kameron Davis and four-star Micahi Danzy in the 2024 cycle. Not to mention, he also landed two transfers via the portal in Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas.

The position is loaded with talent. However, it is always wise to continue accumulating playmakers in the offense who will be difference-makers. Even with the room in the condition that it is in, Coach Johnson harps on the notion of togetherness and brotherhood. No matter what circumstances may arise, they are "all on fries". Everyone has a responsibility when their number is called upon.

During his time at Florida State, former running back Jashaun Corbin made the most of his opportunity. During his two seasons in Tallahassee, he recorded 224 carries for 1,288 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Corbin was back in Tallahassee this past weekend for Florida State's Legacy Day. During this event, the Seminoles hosted several highly-touted prospects on campus where they saw former players such as Jared Verse, Jammie Robinson, and James Rosenberry Jr. unveil their bricks on campus.

One prospect that Corbin was working on when he arrived in Tallahassee was four-star Byron Louis from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. It helps that defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. was formerly the head football coach at the high school.

It certainly helps that former players are helping the recruiting efforts to lay the future foundation of the program. Louis is a really good back that could assist with continuing the overall growth of the room.
