Former FSU QB Jordan Travis surprises fan for his seventh birthday
Florida State football's squad during the 2023 season will go down as one of the more memorable teams in recent history for the proud Seminole program. I realize that the College Football Playoff committee snubbing an opportunity to compete for a national championship will create PTSD amongst individuals for quite some time.
However, the Seminoles had some very special players on the team that will go down in the record books forever. One of those players was quarterback Jordan Travis. Not only was he a tremendous athlete, he is an incredible person.
Even though Travis has moved on to the NFL and will be living his lifelong dream of being a starting signal-caller with the New York Jets, he never stops having an impact on other people's lives. That seems to be a staple when it comes to Mike Norvell-led football programs.
On Sunday afternoon, Jordan Travis surprised Jayce (a young fan) with a happy 7th birthday video. Disclaimer: You might need some tissues as this is a very touching moment that the kid will likely remember for the rest of his life.
While I know that everyone is busy these days, especially quarterback Jordan Travis who is trying his best to make his presence in the NFL, it was cool to see him take the time out of his day to make Jayce feel special. The joy on a child's face is one of the greatest things.
I believe that Jayce will go back to school in the fall and will never let his friends hear the end of it. He will always have a friend in Jordan Travis, which inspire him to do many wonderful things in life. Let this be a lesson for whoever needs to hear it: Never stop fighting the good fight, you never know whose day that you might impact even with a simple gesture.
