FSU football reaped the benefits of having an undefeated regular season and an ACC championship in 2023. However, the Seminoles' opportunity to compete for a national championship was in the hands of a 12-man College Football Playoff committee who elected to put in a one-loss Alabama over an undefeated Florida State.

Much of the committee's reasoning behind leaving the Seminoles was due to star quarterback Jordan Travis suffering a season-ending injury versus the North Alabama Lions.

It is understood by many Florida State fans that Jordan Travis was the heart and soul of the Seminoles' football program. He meant so much to the team as well as the Tallahassee community. The West Palm Beach native worked relentlessly to get to where he is today. It was truly heartbreaking to see such an incredible representative of the university go down.

It was a wonder to some individuals how Travis will perform in the NFL if/when he get drafted. On an encouraging note, it was reported by Ian Rapoport that he should be fully cleared by April.

This is wonderful news as Travis gets back into the swing of things with competing at a high level. For reference, the 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan from April 25 to April 27.

As it stands, the former Florida State signal-caller is considered the ninth-best quarterback on most of the NFL Draft boards. This is a stacked quarterback class with guys such as Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Michael Penix Jr., JJ McCarthy, etc.

However, I truly believe that Travis will find a home even if an NFL team takes a chance on him in the later rounds or even if he is undrafted. While he is not the tallest or most polished quarterback, he has a will and desire to better himself every single day.
