Florida State football will forever remember the squads from the 2022 and 2023 seasons as they exemplified the culture that has been set by head football coach Mike Norvell. While both teams did not win a national championship (didn't have an opportunity to win one in 2023), they were a special group.

The Seminoles combined to have a 23-4 record over that timeframe, which is remarkable considering that the program suffered an 8-13 record the prior two seasons. Norvell has a knack for locating talent, especially in the transfer portal.

Florida State's football program has virtually seen rock bottom and has now elevated itself to one of the college football contenders. On Saturday afternoon, the coaching staff hosted several highly-touted prospects on campus for Legacy Day.

During the event, former Florida State players such as defensive end Jared Verse, defensive back Jammie Robinson, and long snapper James Rosenberry Jr. had a ceremony unveiling their All-American bricks which is located on campus.

It is great to continue to see former players making their way back to Tallahassee even after their playing days in the garnet and gold are over. It speaks to the culture that Norvell has developed.

Looking at players such as defensive back Jammie Robinson and long snapper James Rosenberry Jr., they were both on the Seminoles' roster in 2021 when Florida State unfortunately had the historic loss to FCS opponent Jacksonville State.

In that moment of adversity, it would have been easy for the players to pack it in and not buy into the process. However, they were able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We in society deal with circumstances in our lives that might be challenging to overcome.

However, it was great to witness all of these players sticking through it and getting rewarded for their accomplishments and leadership.
