DE JARED VERSE (RAMS)

Former Florida State defensive end Jared Verse was so pivotal to the success of the Seminoles' defensive unit during the 2023 season. Some fans were surprised that the former Albany pass rusher decided to come back to Tallahassee for another season.

Verse had a first-round draft grade, but he knew that the Seminoles had unfinished business on the football field that they had to take care of with finishing 10-3 during the 2022 campaign.

The defensive end started the 2023 season on a slow note where opposing offensive linemen were double-teaming and even triple-teaming at times. That did not stop Verse's work efforts as he continued to push through the adversity.

The hard work paid off as he finished with nine sacks and capped off a great season for the NFL scouts. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 18th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The franchise unveiled that he would be wearing the No. 8 jersey number (wore No. 5 in college).
