SIONE LOLOHEA

Florida State fans understand that redshirt junior defensive end Patrick Payton will most likely be the leader on the defensive line. However, who will be the starter at the other defensive end spot?

While most individuals gravitate towards the fan-favorite Marvin Jones Jr., the former Georgia Bulldog has not made a sizable difference in college at this time. It doesn't mean that he cannot do it if he has an elevated number of snaps.

The Seminoles also added West Virginia defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye, who had 23 total tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2023 with the Mountaineers. It will be fun to think about how the coaching staff will be able to utilize the strength of both players' skillsets.

However, one name that I believe fans are forgetting about is Oregon State transfer Sione Lolohea who had 46 total tackles and 1.5 sacks last season for the Beavers. He also had 33 total tackles and 2 sacks in 2022. The veteran did not come to Tallahassee to take a backseat to anyone.

I do think that Sione Lolohea, Marvin Jones Jr., and Tomiwa Durojaiye (think he will be a hybrid defensive end/tackle option) will be vying for the starting spot in one of the most entertaining battles of camp.
