College football fans have to be excited at this point. The college football video game series is almost here! The beloved series will return on July 19th (early access will be July 16th). Be sure to pre-order it before it is too late by clicking here.

Seminole fans have to be happy about the opportunity to play with their favorite team. Florida State football had a sensational 2023 campaign which included an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

Even though the College Football Playoff committee decided to snub the Seminoles of the opportunity to compete for a national championship in December in favor of a one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide, the Seminole fan base has an opportunity to control their destiny in College Football 25 and make it right.

I'm sure the fan base will also switch it to the other broadcast crew that does not include Kirk Herbstreit (sorry Kirk, no hard feelings... Good luck in Ireland). Nonetheless, the program has 58% of returning production from a season ago.

While a player such as defensive end Jared Verse is off to the NFL, the Seminoles still have rising superstar Patrick Payton waiting for his opportunity. The redshirt junior recorded 44 tackles (14.5 for loss), seven sacks, and ten pass deflections last season. He will now have to step up in the leadership role for the defensive line.

On Wednesday, EA Sports released its overall ratings for the top 100 players for the College Football 25 video game. Ironically enough, the video game does not hate the Seminoles like the College Football Playoff Committee/ESPN does. It rated Payton as a 90 overall.

I think the overall rating of Payton is fair. The ratings can progressively get better throughout the season. I expect the Miami native to have a double-digit sack total by the end of the year. The former four-star prospect has never been the focal point on the defensive line so the general public might not be as familiar with him. It is Payton's time to shine now. I cannot wait to play with him on the video game.
