Florida State had a high amount of players that were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Seminoles have preached excellence in their on-the-field product which have lead to them seeing those result over the weekend as former Seminoles accomplish their lifelong dreams of being a professional athlete.

As we often in society, it is human nature to start discussing about the 2025 NFL Draft. This 2023 squad was a special group of young men who accomplished several accomplishments with contributors such as quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Keon Coleman, defensive end Jared Verse, and defensive tackle Braden Fiske.

The Seminoles are welcoming in over 38 scholarship newcomers, and there could be more if they decide to add more pieces via the transfer portal. Florida State's football program under the guidance of head football coach Mike Norvell have made it a priority to acquire veteran depth with experienced transfers.

That is somewhat of an important factor in what has made him so successful in Tallahassee over the past two seasons. However, it should be noted that Florida State has an opportunity to showcase its homegrown talent in next year's draft.

One player that I will be monitoring is defensive tackle Joshua Farmer. The former three-star prospect has really blossomed his skill set and frame since arriving in Tallahassee. It was worth mentioning that fans did not know what to truly expect from Farmer since Lovett Sr. returned for his senior season, Fiske as well as Jackson Jr. were added via the transfer portal.

Veteran Fabien Lovett Sr. dealt with nagging injuries during his final campaign while the NCAA decided to reject Darrell Jackson Jr.'s waiver to play during the regular season where they enforced their two-time transfer rule.

This allowed Farmer to grow and develop into a household name. Over the weekend, the defensive tackle was stamping the idea that he would be a first-round draft pick.

Farmer recorded 32 total tackles (7 for loss) and five sacks during the 2023 season. He will finally have the luxury of playing alongside his former high school teammate (Darrell Jackson Jr.). This could be a dominant season for the Port St. Joe (FL) native.
