FSU football had accomplished many positive strides as a program in 2023 where it finished the regular season undefeated and captured its first ACC Championship since the 2014 season.

The Seminoles had several contributors who certainly made their presence felt for this football team. There were over twelve players from the roster who received invites for the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

One of the more exciting prospects to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft was defensive end Jared Verse. The former Albany transfer made his impact instantly when he stepped foot in Tallahassee where he recorded 89 total tackles (29.5 for loss) and 18 sacks during his two seasons at Florida State.

As I alluded to in a previous article, Verse talked about him opting out of the Orange Bowl matchup versus the Georgia Bulldogs. If the talented pass rusher had played, he could have made a difference in terms of getting after Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.
