The offseason is upon us and college football experts are starting to write about their record predictions for each team. The Florida State Seminoles will be an interesting squad to monitor since they only return a little bit over 50% of returning production from a season ago.

Seminole fans are still upset about being excluded from the College Football Playoff last season when the one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide got the nod over an undefeated Florida State.

This is something that will haunt the Seminoles for quite some time. However, the coaching staff and the team of players need to find a way to turn the page and move forward from what happened on that unfortunate day.

This is a new squad in 2024 filled with over forty newcomers. Head football coach Mike Norvell will look to have sustainable success within his program. During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, it was miserable having to go through inconsistencies but they have been better as of late.

The Seminoles have a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons. Florida State will be looking to accomplish the same feats that it did a year ago when it had an undefeated regular season and a conference championship (FSU's social media team claims 13-0).

The Seminoles will have high expectations, but I believe that they will gain some much-needed confidence early on from having to play the likes of Georgia Tech, Boston College, Memphis, California, and SMU before playing Clemson at home. That could smell success for Florida State.

CBS Sports' Grant Hughes dropped his record prediction for the Florida State Seminoles in 2024. He has them going 11-1 with an 8-0 conference record.

It seems like Hughes has Florida State losing to Notre Dame when the Seminoles travel to South Bend. But who knows? Maybe he is high on the Florida Gators and thinks they can beat the Seminoles at home (hopefully Billy Napier will have a job by then).

Florida State would then likely play Miami in the ACC Championship Game (also wishful thinking since Miami has had one 10-win season in twenty years). This would set up nicely for the Seminoles to win the conference title game and then have a top-four seed.
