WHO WILL EMERGE AT LINEBACKER ALONGSIDE DJ LUNDY?

Florida State redshirt senior linebacker DJ Lundy elected to return to the Seminoles after previously committing to Colorado this offseason. If he would have enrolled with the Buffaloes, it would have been devastating for Florida State.

Lundy is the most experienced linebacker on the football team within defensive coordinator Adam Fuller's scheme. The Seminoles are having to replace the likes of veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune who went to the NFL. Both DeLoach and Bethune had an impact on Florida State's defense by being the top-two leading tacklers.

Florida State added two transfers with Auburn's Cam Riley and Alabama's Shawn Murphy. The Seminoles also have pieces such as Omar Graham Jr., Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward.

Certain members of the fanbase were worried about the position, especially behind Lundy. The coaching staff has raved about the progress of Justin Cryer and Cam Riley. I believe that Riley will most certainly be in the starting rotation of linebackers. I also think that there will be a committee approach at linebacker, but Riley will be alongside Lundy a lot.
