ANOTHER ONE! 4-star TE Chase Loftin commits to Florida State
Florida State's coaching staff has been red hot on the recruiting trail lately for the 2025 recruiting trail as four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley as well as four-star defensive tackles Kevin Wynn and Myron Charles have pledged to the program.
The fan base was beginning to get a little worried as the Seminoles were approaching their massive June 21st recruiting weekend and did not have any commitments in the class since four-star defensive end Javion Hilson flipped his commitment from Alabama to Florida State.
The coaching staff decided to take the criticism from the fan base to heart as they are now leading for prospects such as four-star running back Byron Louis, four-star wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon, four-star tight end Chase Loftin, five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty, four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph, four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace, four-star cornerback Gregory Thomas, four-star safety Ladarian Clardy, and three-star safety Max Redmon.
Speaking of Loftin, he announced on Saturday night that he has committed to Florida State.
This is a massive development for the Seminoles' coaching staff as we know how important the tight end position is in head football coach Mike Norvell's offenses. They can line up on the outside, in the slot, as in-line blockers, and even in the backfield. The possibilities are endless.
Chase Loftin is a four-star tight-end prospect from Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He is listed at 6'6" and 215 pounds. He even officially visited the home-state Nebraska Cornhuskers on June 21st but Loftin elected to commit to Florida State, which he officially visited on the weekend of June 7th.
This is typically a recruitment that you don't see the Seminoles win that often but Florida State has acquired seven out of their seven committed prospects that are at least four-star recruits. The trend continues with Loftin.
