. . . ACC early power rankings. . . . 1. 441.

UNC won the regular season ACC title, they lost to NC State in the ACC Tournament Championship, but they got the one-seed in the NCAA Tournament. They did what they wanted going into the tournament, but still ended their season with what is an early exit for the Tar Heels in the Sweet 16.

The Tar Heels are losing big man Armando Bacot and shooting guard Cormac Ryan who both ran out of eligibility, along with Harrison Ingram who declared for the NBA Draft. That is three starters UNC is losing, but they are the UNC and are capable of succeeding. The good news if that the Tar Heels are returning RJ Davis and Elliot Cadeau, the other two starters. Davis was named ACC Player of the Year last year and averaged 21.2 points per game.

UNC has only landed one transfer in Cade Tyson, but they have a strong recruiting class coming up with a pair of 5-star recruits. There is not a lot of worry around UNC, they always seem to pull it together, especially with their recruiting class in the mix.
