ACC basketball way-too-early power rankings for 2024-25: Where do Seminoles stand?
Even though NC State is considered a blue blood and is from the promised land of college basketball in North Carolina, the Wolfpack still shocked everyone by winning five straight games in the ACC tournament to get the automatic bid and then making it to the Finals Four in the NCAA Tournament.
However, that is now in the past and the Wolfpack will go through changes this next season. Four of their top five leading scorers are gone including March Madness favorite DJ Burns. The one returning scorer and starter is Jayden Taylor who averaged 11.2 points per game. There are players waiting in the wings that have talent to add to this Woldpack squad.
Head coach Kevin Keatts has also brought in a pair of transfers from Lousiville and a pair from Georgetown to add depth and scoring to this NC State squad. NC State might surprise people again next year, but this time by being a team constantly in the top-25 and competing for another ACC title.
