DT KJ SAMPSON IS EXCITING

Florida State had two talented defensive tackles in its rotation last year with Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr. However, they are now off to the NFL and the Seminoles will have to find other pieces to be successful in the rotation.

Norvell provides insight into the position group: "KJ Sampson has been exciting. We challenged him this spring. You can see the confidence in his development and strength. Grady Kelly has been good these last few days. Joshua Farmer, Darrell Jackson Jr., and Daniel Lyons taking positive strides."

We know that Joshua Farmer and Darrell Jackson Jr. are the starting defensive tackles in the defense. However, who will emerge as the main backup defensive tackle? It seems like redshirt freshman KJ Sampson could be the leading option there.

Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins has proven himself to be a great developer of the position where it prepares players for the NFL. The talent is there for the Seminoles to be successful at the defensive tackle position.
