Florida State is having to replace the likes of Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune as they head to the NFL. They were the top two tacklers for the Seminoles during the 2023 season.

As a result, the coaching staff went to the transfer portal and added Auburn's Cam Riley and Alabama's Shawn Murphy. Norvell provided the following statement about Riley: "Cam Riley has been a great addition. His attitude and approach in the meeting room have been impressive." That is great to hear about Riley as he looks to play a factor this season.

Other than Riley, the Seminoles have other talented pieces in the position room that could make a difference in 2024. Norvell paints the picture for the linebacker room by saying: "Blake Nichelson showed up really well. I'm excited about the steps that Justin Cryer is taking. There is a lot of competition in the linebacker room."

Some fans were worried about the linebacker room (for good reason). However, the coaching staff seems to be impressive with them thus far which is good.
