5-star UGA TE commit Elyiss Williams officially visiting the Noles on June 21st
Florida State football's coaching staff is doing its best to secure a top-10 recruiting class in 2025. They currently have only four commitments in the fold with five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
Fans want more excitement given that the Seminoles finished their 2023 campaign with a 13-1 record. Recruits should wish to gravitate to the winning tradition. However, those individuals need to understand that it is only May, and the December Early Signing Period is still seven months away.
Recruiting is an ever-changing process that requires teenagers to make one of the most important decisions in their lifetimes. It can be quite stressful at times. There have been times throughout the last couple of weeks when fans have worried about the commitment statuses of Solomon Thomas and Tramell Jones Jr. going to the arch-rival Florida Gators.
Overall, I believe that the recruiting class will be just fine. The coaching staff is having the month of June be a pivotal time to secure commitments. More specifically, the weekend of June 21st will set up to be a massive stepping stone for the university to gain traction in recruiting.
One prospect that is added to the list in regards to the visit weekend is Class of 2025 Georgia five-star tight end commit Elyiss Williams from Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia.
While it might be a long shot for the Seminoles, the program is doing its best to flip the pledge. The coaching staff is not strangers to flipping Georgia commitments to Florida State after they did so last recruiting cycle with former four-star tight end Landen Thomas (who enrolled with the Seminoles).
This could turn into a massive statement by flipping a prospect of this caliber from an elite program such as Georgia (Florida State is also a high-caliber program that should not be overlooked).
