Florida State currently has an offensive line prospect in five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Thomas has been committed to the program since December.

However, the fan base has been concerned about Thomas de-committing from the Seminoles since he has been enjoying the recruiting process and visiting other schools. However, it is worth noting that these are teenagers who might not ever have the opportunity to visit other places again. This is a chance of a lifetime.

One prospect who came in on an unofficial visit this weekend was five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood from Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. This is a relatively new recruit that has never taken a trip to Tallahassee before.

It seems like the unofficial visit went well for Haywood. He conducted an interview with a variety of media members at the end of his trip and he stated that he enjoyed it. Ironically enough, the offensive lineman scheduled an official visit to Florida State for the weekend of June 21st, which consists of several prospects on campus.

Haywood is considered the 10th-best prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings. While the Seminoles have targets such as four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison and four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover interested in the program, it is always great to have more options at their disposal.

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins does a tremendous job of developing relationships with a variety of recruits. However, this begs the question of whether this will be finally the year that his recruits that he recruited take significant snaps in the offense.

While Robert Scott Jr. was been a huge piece in the rotation (out for the remainder of this spring), he has largely relied on transfers to get the job done.
