RB BYRON LOUIS

Florida State already has several talented backs on its roster. Running backs coach David Johnson has done a tremendous job of developing relationships with a variety of prospects. During the 2024 recruiting cycle, he picked up commitments from four-star Kameron Davis and four-star Micahi Danzy.

However, current running backs on this roster such as Lawrance Toafili and Roydell Williams are heading into their senior seasons in 2024. With that being said, it may not seem like running back isn't a position that needs to be recruited heavily given the current makeup of the room, but there always needs to be talented prospects added if the interest is there.

We already saw that four-star back Alvin Henderson from Elba, Alabama stated that Florida State was the team to beat in his recruitment. However, I would like to monitor another playmaker in four-star Byron Louis from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida.

Yes, another American Heritage High School standout. The Patrick Surtain Sr. effect is real. During the 2023 season, Louis recorded 1,224 yards and 18 touchdowns. There are no crystal ball predictions anywhere at this time for him, but Florida State can make a huge impression if this weekend goes well.
