5 players on the Seminoles' roster who have made a name for themselves in fall camp
RB SAMUEL SINGLETON JR.
Florida State football is having to replicate the production of ultra-talented running back Trey Benson. The former Oregon rusher had 1,800+ rushing yards and 23 touchdowns during his last two seasons in Tallahassee.
Benson was the engine that kept the Seminoles' offense moving in 2023 with his long-yardage gains. He will certainly be missed by the squad in 2024.
However, the coaching staff tried to counteract the losses by bringing in transfers such as Alabama's Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas as well as recruits such as four-star prospects Kameron Davis and Micahi Danzy. Plus, it is worth noting that they brought back returning pieces such as Lawrance Toafili, Caziah Holmes, and Samuel Singleton Jr.
One back that the coaching staff seems to bring up a lot now is redshirt freshman Samuel Singleton Jr. The second-year player has started to emerge with his long runs and his ability to run through tacklers in fall camp.
I didn't know if Singleton Jr. would see the field in 2025. However, it looks like he has carved an opportunity to get some playing time this season.
