RB CAZIAH HOLMES

Florida State's running back position group took a hit as veteran Trey Benson took his talents to the NFL where he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals. He was what made the offense go with long-yardage gains. He accumulated over 1,800 yards and 23 touchdowns during his two seasons in Tallahassee.

However, the coaching staff had to turn the page in the Benson era and find new options to run the football. As we all know, head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive scheme revolves around the idea of establishing the run to set up passing opportunities.

The Seminoles did a phenomenal job this offseason at the position where they added Roydell Williams (Alabama) and Jaylin Lucas (Indiana) via the transfer portal as well as four-star prospects Kameron Davis and Micahi Danzy.

However, it seems like a ton of people forget about two backs that are on the roster currently in Lawrance Toafili and Caziah Holmes. We all know what Toafili is capable of (see the ACC Championship Game), but fans aren't quite aware of Holmes' skill set.

Holmes recorded 185 yards and two touchdowns during the 2023 season. The former Penn State running back transfer has the perfect combination of speed and power. It wouldn't surprise to see Holmes open some eyes in fall camp and the most carries in a crowded backfield.
