Increased Talent

FSU coaches did a marvelous job of identifying talent to raise the overall floor of the program. FSU has 18 guys that entered the transfer portal and only ranked as a blue-chip prospect, while in high school or as a transfer (Dennis Briggs). However, FSU has 14 players added from the transfer portal this spring, and 10 have a blue-chip ranking. Over half were top 100 players as recruits when they were coming out of high school. While FSU lost a ton of experience and production, the overal talent of the roster has significantly increased, especially when adding all of the blue-chip talent from the 2024 high school class.

FSU has added 37 players(including one blue-chip preferred walk-on) when combining the 2024 high school class, and transfer portal class. An astounding 26 of 37 players (70 percent) rank as blue-chip players. That also doesn't include another blue-chip high school player trending to sign with the Noles(Amaree Williams). The Georgia Bulldogs are the only team with more blue-chip players when combining both, and they have 28 blue-chip players.
