RB MICAHI DANZY

This is a long shot of a selection with the running back position being as stacked as it is. Florida State is having to replace veteran Trey Benson, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft. Benson accumulated 1,800+ rushing yards during his two seasons in Tallahassee.

However, running backs coach David Johnson has made it known that he expects a lot out of his backs where anyone can get their opportunity if they help the team win. Head football coach Mike Norvell has always centered his offensive schemes around the ability to run the football.

The rotation includes Roydell Williams, Lawrance Toafili, Jaylin Lucas, Caziah Holmes, Samuel Singleton Jr., Kameron Davis, and Micahi Danzy. That is a deep group of players who could all make impacts this season.

I am not suggesting that Danzy overtakes the backfield and becomes a starting running back in Year 1. But what I am saying is that the Tallahassee native could carve out a role for himself with his explosiveness where he could be a factor on special teams for the Seminoles.

I think Danzy is a talented piece that could certainly compete for a starting job in 2025 when Williams, Toafili, and Holmes all graduate after the 2024 season.
