DT KJ SAMPSON

Florida State will no longer have the services of veterans such as Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr. at the defensive tackle position during the 2024 season.

Fiske virtually dominated the opponents as the season wore on and it made it easier for pass rushers such as Jared Verse and Patrick Payton to get after the opposing quarterback. However, the coaching staff will have to do its best at the position.

Fans understand that Joshua Farmer and Darrell Jackson Jr. will likely be the Seminoles' starting defensive tackles. However, the depth of the position includes contributors such as Daniel Lyons, Grady Kelly, Tomiwa Durojaiye, and KJ Sampson.

I like the depth at defensive tackle. Assistant coach Odell Haggins has been known to develop and groom players at the professional level. KJ Sampson is someone who I think could be a solid contributor during his redshirt freshman year. He has impressed during fall camp thus far and could develop into DT3 and potentially a starter for the 2025 season.
