DB RICKY KNIGHT III

Florida State is having to replace the likes of defensive backs Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, and Akeem Dent. As I alluded to with Omarion Cooper, the Seminoles have a habit of playing several defensive backs in their scheme.

I realize that cornerbacks such as Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, and Earl Little Jr. will play a lot of snaps this season. I also recognize that true freshmen such as Charles Lester III, Jamari Howard (if he is not out for the entirety of the season) and Cai Bates will get a bulk of the discussion.

However, it should be noted that former four-star defensive back Ricky Knight III could be a player that the Seminoles could use in their defense if he pieces everything together.

Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has always been about getting the best players out there to make plays. One example as I mentioned was safety Conrad Hussey, who could be a starter at the position during the 2024 season.

I like Knight III's speed as a cornerback in this defense and I have high expectations to piece everything together if it clicks for him.
