LB CAMERON RILEY

I thought that Florida State was going to lose its best linebacker on the roster in DJ Lundy to Colorado via the transfer portal. It was preparing to be tough sledding as they were losing the likes of veteran players such as Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune.

However, Lundy elected to return to Tallahassee for his senior season instead of signing with the Buffaloes. It seemed like an offseason where the Seminoles benefitted from Colorado and Alabama.

Overall, the program added Alabama linebacker transfer Shawn Murphy who was talented but inexperienced. They also had options such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward.

Thankfully, Auburn linebacker transfer Cameron Riley decided to de-commit from North Carolina State. Florida State was involved with Riley before he committed to the Wolfpack. The program needed more veteran voices in the room.

With the Tigers, he recorded 119 total tackles (7.5 for loss) and two sacks during his four-year playing career. This could be someone that could be in the mix to start at linebacker with the 4-2-5 defensive scheme.
