4-star RB target Alvin Henderson announcing a commitment soon?
Florida State has continued to impress when it continued to impress when it comes to the running back position. As most fans realize, head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive system revolves around the ability to effectively run the football.
There was a group of individuals who doubted the coaching staff when they decided to acquire Oregon transfer Trey Benson to the unit. However, Benson showcased his skill set where he recorded 1,800+ yards and 23 touchdowns in the past two seasons.
Unfortunately, the Seminoles will have to replace the likes of Benson in their offense as he is heading to the NFL to achieve his lifelong dreams and aspirations. Florida State added pieces to their room via the transfer portal with Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas.
They also acquired two talented prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle with four-star Kameron Davis and four-star Micahi Danzy. Even with all of the mouths to feed in the offense, running backs coach David Johnson has done a tremendous job in allowing all of his guys to buy into what Florida State is all about.
Just because the Seminoles added more backs to their rotation, that doesn't mean that Florida State will stop acquiring talent. One prospect to monitor going forward for the 2025 recruiting cycle is four-star Alvin Henderson in Elba, Alabama.
On Thursday afternoon, Henderson posted on social media that he would be committing soon.
According to a report from ON3's Josh Newberg, Henderson stated that Florida State was the team to beat. The talented back recorded 3,523 yards and 61 touchdowns last season. He is a very productive rusher who could be a difference-maker if he were to commit to the Seminoles.
Florida State has not secured a prospect's commitment since January so this would be a pleasant surprise.
