4-star QB commit Tramell Jones Jr. invited to Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles
Florida State has one quarterback prospect committed to the program in four-star signal caller Tramell Jones Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. The Mandarin High School standout is currently ranked as the 27th-best prospect at his position according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The coaching staff evaluated Jones Jr. early in the process and he committed to Florida State on April 1, 2023, where he has consistently put his recruiting hat on for the program. On Sunday afternoon, Elite 11 announced that the talented quarterback was invited to the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, California.
The Elite 11 event is where a group of the top quarterbacks across the country compete against one another in a multitude of events to showcase their talents.
The Jacksonville native has continued to strengthen his skill set over time. During the 2022 season, he had over 2,300 yards with 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Last season, he stepped up his game where he recorded 3,195 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
This should be a massive senior season for Jones Jr. as he looks to continue to rise the recruiting rankings. While he is only listed at 6 feet, he is still a tremendous talent that can command an offense at a high level.
The Seminoles' coaching staff has done a tremendous job with evaluating prospects in the quarterback position. Fans can look back at the 2024 recruiting cycle where they secured four-star Luke Kromenhoek before he was even the starting signal caller.
While it looks like veteran DJ Uiagalelei is looking to be the starting quarterback during the 2024 season, the Seminoles will be turning to the likes of Luke Kromenhoek, Brock Glenn, Trever Jackson, and of course Tramell Jones Jr. (if he signs with Florida State). That will be a loaded rotation to monitor for years to come.
