4-star OL target Mario Nash Jr. schedules official visit with the Noles
Florida State football has several offensive lineman targets that offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has circled on the Seminoles' recruiting board for the Seminoles.
Atkins has made his presence known in the recruiting trail and on the transfer portal. However, one big concern is the fact that he has not utilized his homegrown recruits within his rotation. The transfer portal has been a big factor in the construction and improvement of the offensive line.
It is important to note that veterans on the roster such as Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Jeremiah Byers, Keiondre Jones, Richie Leonard IV, and Jacob Rizy are pieces that will be graduating after the 2024 season.
This will be an opportunity for the Seminoles to stockpile the position group with several highly-touted prospects within their 2025 recruiting class. One prospect that Florida State has committed in the fold is five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
In a recent article, I broke down some targets in hopes that Atkins will secure a huge haul in the 2025 recruiting cycle. One recruit who should be monitored is four-star offensive lineman Mario Nash Jr. from Kemper County High School in De Kalb, Mississippi.
Nash Jr. will be officially visiting the Florida State Seminoles on October 5th. It is important to note that the Seminoles will be playing the Clemson Tigers in Doak Campbell Stadium. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the Seminoles to showcase their talented team.
Doak Campbell Stadium will be at a reduced capacity given the renovations that will be completed for the 2025 season opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, it should still be a great environment for Nash Jr. to witness with quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei facing off against his former team.
