4-star LB target Ty Jackson includes the Noles in top schools list

Florida State fans have been quite worried about linebacker recruiting throughout the years. While I am not an individual who likes to point fingers, the position board itself has been thinner than I would have liked.

The Seminoles were about to haul in talented prospects in the 2023 cycle with four-star Blake Nichelson (thanks to GM Darrick Yray and his connections with Nichelson's family) and three-star DeMarco Ward. They were also able to bring in three stars Jayden Parrish and Timir Hickman-Collins for the 2024 cycle.

Florida State is off to a good start in the 2025 cycle as they have secured the commitment of four-star Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. However, given the depth of the position, it is likely that the Seminoles would love to grab one or two more prospects to stack talent in the room.

One prospect of note is four-star Ty Jackson from Seminole Ridge High School in Loxahatchee, Florida. He is considered the 25th-best linebacker prospect in the 2025 cycle. Jackson has been a very consistent player during his time at Seminole Ridge High School where he has recorded 378 total tackles during his three-year playing career.

On Tuesday afternoon, Jackson announced his top ten schools list which included Florida State.

I understand what most Seminole fans are about to say with the top schools list announcement: "We will worry about it when he commits to the program!" However, I will state that the linebacker prospect has made multiple visits to Tallahassee and is expected to return to campus for spring practice.

I like where Florida State sits with Jackson at this time. He does not have a crystal ball prediction at this time. If the Seminoles can get a trio at linebacker with four stars Ethan Pritchard, Tavion Wallace (who is crystal balled to Florida State), and Ty Jackson, it would be wonderful for the future of the position.
