Florida State is currently sitting as the 41st-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A portion of the fan base is worried about recruiting due to the rankings not being up to the Seminoles' lofty expectations of the program.

The Seminoles have been ice-cold on the recruiting trail in terms of acquiring commitments. As of right now, Florida State has four prospects pledged to the fold. The last time the Seminoles landed a recruit was when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson flipped from Alabama to Florida State after legendary head football coach Nick Saban retired in January.

Fans were questioned what was going on since the Seminoles have had success on the football field where they are a combined 23-4 over the past two seasons. However, it seems like individuals do this every year as the coaching staff finds a way to get itself into the top twenty and prioritizes filling needs with transfers for whatever isn't addressed in recruiting.

As I stated before, the December Early Signing Period is still seven months away. The recruiting target board could drastically change as we get into the summer.

One recruit that has not changed in the Seminoles' target board is four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace from Wayne County High School in Jesup, Georgia. While the program has four-star linebacker prospect Ethan Pritchard committed, they would like to get two more prospects at the position in this cycle.

The talented linebacker has announced that he will be making his decision on July 15th at 3:30 PM.

Wallace already has a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles. It helps that the linebacker will be officially visiting Florida State on the big recruiting weekend of June 21st where all of the commitments will be in attendance. Overall, this is a prospect that linebackers coach Randy Shannon has to find a way to close on.
